Extra Virgin Olive Oil from La Chinata is obtained from a selection of olives collected in the region of the Sierra de Gata, located in the northwest of the province of Cáceres. There are selected only the best olives that guarantee the obtaining of an Extra Virgin Olive Oil of high quality for our customers. Olives must be in their optimum degree of maturity, clean, healthy and without apparent external defect.
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is fundamentally characterized by four factors:
- An intense yellow color with some traces of green color.
- A sweet and flat flavor, without the itching or bitterness characteristic of the oils of southern Spain. This way you get a very pleasant taste on the palate that makes the tasting of these Virgins a real pleasure.
- An aroma of very dense ripe fruit.
- A very high content of fatty acids, which make these Virgins one of the most perfect of all those obtained in the different olive areas of Spain.
The region of La Sierra de Gata is known for its olives, destined to a greater extent for direct consumption. We are talking about table olives, known throughout the Spanish geography as the "cacereña chamomile". They are very similar in texture and flavor, which leaves a pleasant aroma on the palate. And part of that aroma can be appreciated in our EVOO, since the smaller ones are used that cannot be destined for direct consumption, so the Extra Virgin Olive Oil La Chinata inherits its virtues and best known characteristics.
The glass format retains all the properties of the EVOO and it is important to choose the appropriate size according to its consumption, so as not to store it for a long period of time since once opened, its qualities and flavor decrease.
The glass container is the most comfortable to use on the table, as well as the most suitable for giftgiving.
